Christmas 2008

Sorry I have been a slacker on updating this. We have been really busy with finishing up this school semester and working. We just went to washington to visit family for christmas. We had so much fun. We stayed with my dad which was nice because he was able to spend some time with emma. We also saw tons of other family during our stay. At first though our trip was very eventful. The four days before we were leaving the portland airport where we were flying into had been closed because of the bad weather they had. So we were pretty nervous about leaving not knowing if we were going to be getting there on time. Luckily the day we chose to leave was the first day that they opened the airport and we did make it there, but our luggage did not. We ended up staying at the airport pretty much that whole day waiting for our luggage that did finally show up on another flight..it was a very long day. The roads there were horrible so you really couldn't go anywhere. Some of our gifts that were suppose to be shipped via ups didn't show up till the end of our trip. Overall we had fun at least we were able to spend time with our family and have a nice christmas even though some things didn't turn out the way they were planned.

Emma was able to see santa and tell him what she wanted for christmas at my work's christmas party. At frist she wanted nothing to do with him, but she finally got over that and loved him

She also enjoyed putting up the christmas tree and helping me decorate it.

Here is Emma on Christmas morning opening up all her gifts.
This Christmas was probably the longest ever. We serioulsy had christmas for four days with all the different families and with some gifts not arriving on time because of the weather.

It usually never snows in washington but maybe
once every couple of years and this year they got
the most snow they have ever had. It was nice
though to still have snow on christmas. Emma
sure loved in. She played in it for hours. Her and
daddy spent awhile outside building a snowman
which she was pretty excited about.

Halloween Party2008

After we took emma trick or treating, matt and i went over to a friends house for a halloween party. It was soooo much fun! Maybe just a little TOO much fun :-)

Trick or Treat

We took Emma trick or treating with her cousins. This was her first year and she absolutely loved it. We think that this is going to be her favorite holiday. She was so funny, at first she would open people's doors instead of knocking and then would walk right on into their house, it was pretty funny. Instead of just taking one piece of candy, she kept saying "I want one" over and over. She made out good and filled her whole bucket full of candy. Overall, I think she really enjoyed herself and had a blast.

Carving Pumpkins

So this last weekend we also carved some pumpkins. It was grandpa sean's birthday this last week, so on saturday we had a rockband birthday party for him. To help get ready, Emma and I helped carve pumpkins. It was emma's first time she had tons of fun.

Grandma's petting zoo

Grandma and grandpa purdom have a ton of chickens and three rabbits that emma just loves to death. This last weekend was spent over at thier house and emma was helping grandma take care of her pets. She helped collect the chicken's eggs and also fed the rabbits. Add Image

Potty Training

Emma has pretty much master this whole potty training thing now. She was a quick learner. She is so silly, sometimes she insists on reading a book while she goes...so silly and too smart.

Summer time!!!!

Pretty much all summer long emma spent most of her time outside playing on the playground that we have in our apartments. She recentley got a new barbie bike for her birthday that she loves to ride. She just discovered the swings...she was terrified at first, but once she got over it, she threw a fit when it was time to leave. Her hair is super curly so every once in awhile I like to straighten it.
